Manuscript Critiques
I can help you identify what works and what can be improved upon in your manuscript!
Let me be that objective, critical eye you are looking for.
Affordable rates – free sample critique

You’ve finished writing that great American novel, congratulations!!

Has your spouse or friend read it? Did they tell you your story was spectacular and a guaranteed best seller? I’m willing to bet that even though their words helped to boost your ego, their feedback wasn’t quite what you were hoping for.

You need to have your work critiqued.

What is a critique?

A critique is a thorough review that highlights both the areas that need improvement as well as the good elements of a written or produced work.

This is an important first step in the process to producing a quality book.

A good critique of your work will help to highlight areas to improve such as grammar, punctuation, plot inconsistencies, incomplete character arcs, unbelievable situations (fiction might be fake, but it has to be believable), etc. Along with areas to improve, a good critique can also highlight areas that are working well within your story.

You need honest feedback from someone who has worked in the publishing market. And that’s exactly what I’m offering.

A critiquer is not an editor. Think of my review as step one in producing a clean and polished manuscript.

I do not provide line edits, though I will comment on some grammar, punctuation, and spelling issues. What I provide is high-level feedback on the story itself. Is it working? Are the characters believable? Is the story moving along at a good pace? Does it have a saggy middle? Is there too much telling vs. showing?

These are the important areas to tackle before you move on to an editor. And this is precisely why you should hire me. My input will show you how a reader will feel about your story.

Rates – My fee is $0.0025 per word with a $10 minimum.
So, if your MS is 10,000 words my service will be $25.00. If you story is 80,000 words my critique will be $200. Payment is due when I begin critiquing your manuscript and can be made via Paypal.

I offer a free sample.  In an email, send me the first five pages (12pt font, double spaced) of your novel or novella as a Word doc attachment, and I will send you sample feedback.  You can then decide if you’d like me to do a full review of your story.

Genres I prefer – Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Chick Lit, Erotica. Please feel free to query me about other genres.

Scheduling – I will do my best to get to your manuscript as soon as I can. We can discuss time frame during our initial email communication.
